Reader Scanner SR 24 / SR 30 iT

The Reader Scanners SR 24iT and SR 30 iT are designed as a universal system for the reproduction of different microfilm forms.

Different forms and formats of the film medium require a high degree of flexibility of the reproduction system. A wide selection of interchangeable film stages in combination with interchangeable zoom lenses offers unlimited processing possibilities for all common microfilm forms. This includes the use of microfiches, micro plan films and film aperture cards as well as 16 and 35 mm roll films in magazines or open film spools.

The information output can be varied according to requirements. The systems are available both as digital reader-printers by connecting a powerful laser printer for A4/A3, and as reader-scanners for image transfer via the USB interface to standard PCs and networks. A simple switch on the unit bridges the gap between analogue image storage and digital image processing.

The systems offer a variety of helpful automated image functions as standard. These include motorised image rotation through 360°, automatic exposure control and image centring as well as skew correction, format adjustment and image position switching.

Particularly noteworthy is the optional option of scanning with 256 greyscales to create an 8-bit image for further processing in the computer. This means that extremely difficult originals can be optimally processed, as well as half-tone images saved on positive film. The high image quality is guaranteed by flexible resolution levels up to 800 dpi.
Of course, the system also processes films with different polarity – positive or negative. An optionally available image mask opens up the possibility of precisely defining the desired image section. Selectable scan modes ensure the best scanning results and the best image quality even with critical originals.
In combination with the application software DpuScan SR, the SR 24 and SR 30 open up a wide range of further optimisation functions during image processing. Of course, DpuScan SR supports the distribution of images and information as e-mail and directly in the network.
